Troubleshooting email delivery

If you don't receive the email you are expecting from United Baristas, it could be for several reasons.

Password reset emails

If you don't receive a password reset email from UB-iD, it could be because your account and UB-iD are out-of-sync. To resolve, sign up to United Baristas again and go through the steps to authorise your email address. This will re-sync your account and allow you to set a new password.

Spam folder

United Baristas emails are signed and we ask them to be verified by your email provider for security purposes. You are more likely to have issues with United Baristas email as we often employ stricter email policies compared with other coffee companies. If you are not receiving email from us or emails are ending up in your spam folder is it typically because 1) you are redirecting emails, 2) Outlook is changing the email headers, 3) your email provider uses older technology, or 4) you have accidentally marked a United Baristas email in the past as spam.

Redirecting your email

If you signed up to United Baristas with your-email@old-company-url.com and it automatically redirects to your-email@new-company-url.com, then your email provider may automatically update the email headers in a way that makes the security check fail. The best solution is to update your United Baristas account email.

Outlook

This is a known issue with Outlook and is this is best tackled by your IT support. But again, it's best if you use your current email address so the email headers are not being re-written by Microsoft.

Older tech

You are most likely to be on older email technology if your email service is bundled with high-value, low-cost website hosting (rather than using a specific email service). The direction of travel is for email security to be further strengthened so this is likely to become a more frequent issue for you. It might be prudent to consider upgrading or updating your email provision.

Unmark as spam

You can unmark United Baristas email as spam, if you have accidentally marked a United Baristas email as spam in the past.
