When does United Baristas email you?

Understanding, and managing, notifications, newsletters and updates

There are six types of United Baristas emails. Each is used for different purpose and each is managed differently.

Notifications

You can set up search alert notifications on United Baristas Services, such as specific products on Marketplace or jobs in a specific town.
Notification emails are unique to you, private and super powerful. Almost everyone who regularly uses United Baristas should set up relevant notifications.

Series & onboarding

Series & onboarding emails explain how to get the most out of United Baristas.

Some are triggered by your use of United Baristas (usually when you first use a new service) others part of a programme such as United Baristas Academy.

You can always opt to skip the remainder of a series if you’re already up-to-speed or have multiple accounts, but for most users they contain mission-critical information.

Newsletters

Newsletters are optional emails about the topics we are experts in, using our services and the coffee industry.
Choose an edit of newsletters that’s right for you. Lots of people from across the coffee industry have signed up and most subscribe to more than one.

Managing Newsletter subscriptions

Sevice updates

United Baristas is always improving. If you are an active user of a service, we will email you if we update an important function.

Additionally, you can optionally subscribe to get notifications on forthcoming changes and work-in-progress on United Baristas Updates.

United Baristas Updates

Transactional

Transactional emails are an integral part of United Baristas services and can’t be customised.
Examples include a listing receipt, purchase confirmations or receiving applications and purchase enquiries. They are functional, sometimes boring, but always important.

Correspondence

We will email you directly in a range of circumstances, such as responding to support queries, seeking clarity on your listings or general United Baristas business.
